In September, the Aevitas community came together in support of Mental Health Awareness month. We wanted to send a quick thank you to everyone who participated in some way with our scheduled events and challenges throughout the month.
Mental Health BINGO Challenge
Thank you to all who contributed to the BINGO challenge! We raised almost $400 in the effort, which will be donated directly to Lance Meeson’s fundraising page.
If you weren’t able to participate in the BINGO challenge but would still like to contribute to the fundraising efforts with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, you can donate individually to Lance’s team using the link below.
DONATE TO LANCE’S TEAM
As promised, we pulled names for the winners of this challenge! Just by purchasing a card, your name was placed in the running. Then, anyone who completed the cards and handed them in by the end of the month was also eligible for a second prize. And the winners are…
Winner #1: Emily Durstewitz
Winner #2: Gabriella Rossi
Congrats, you two! We’ll get your prizes to you ASAP!
Skinner WOD and Out of the Darkness Walk
This year, we moved our annual Skinner Memorial WOD to the Saturday before Saratoga’s Out of the Darkness Walk, as we thought the two should be paired more closely. Thank you to everyone who came out for one or both of these events – we know that it means a lot to your Aevitas family members who have struggled through this type of loss.
We plan to couple these two events up next year as well, and are hoping to get even more participation in BOTH – so please consider penciling this weekend (9/27-9/29, we believe) in to your 2024 calendars now!
