The OCR Race Season for 2022 has begun! And our Aevitas Spartan crew kicked it off with flare this past weekend at the New Jersey Trifecta Event!

Last Weekend: Tri-State New Jersey Spartan Weekend

Last weekend, ten Aevitas Spartan athletes made their way to Mountain Creek Ski Resort in Vernon, New Jersey for one (or two!) Spartan events.  The weekend included three distances: 

• "Super":  a ~6-mile/10-km event with 25 obstacles
• "Beast": ~13 miles/21 km distance; 30 obstacles
• "Ultra": ~31 miles/50 km distance; 60 obstacles

Special shout-out to Bri, Derek, and Ryan, who all ran in the competitive "age group" division for their races! This was Ryan's first ever Spartan race, and Bri & Derek's first attempt at the Spartan Beast. Bri placed 5th in her age group, and Ryan placed 7th in his!

Some of these crazy athletes completed not just one event, but TWO! Bernie, Sam H, and Nabil all completed both the Beast and the Super. Jay and Jazz completed the Ultra and the Super!  Sheesh!!

We're so proud of everyone who raced over the weekend, and even more excited to see what else the season brings! Speaking of...

Next Up: Fayetteville Ultra & Trifecta Weekend - May 14 & 15

The next "big" race on the Aevitas Spartan crew's agenda? The Fayetteville Trifecta Event Weekend, going down in the middle of May!  This event features Sprint(5k), Super(10k), Beast(21k), Ultra(50k) and Kid's Race courses throughout the weekend.  Good luck to the entire crew, it sounds like it'll be crazy (in the best way!)

Who Wants In?!

If you're interested in trying out a Spartan (or other Obstacle Course Race) this season, or you're just looking for an awesome group of people to do fun and exciting workouts with, you should consider attending a Spartan class, held weekly at the Aevitas Round Lake location!  

Check out our official schedule for the most up-to-date information, but generally Spartan classes are held on Tuesday & Thursday evenings, and some Sunday mornings.  Go check it out!
