I competed in Taekwondo from age 9 through 17, competing nationally and even trying out for the junior national team one year. After a poor performance at team trials, I joined Aevitas Fitness in 2015. I rapidly became invested, empowered by strength training and the community. It wasn't until after leaving competitive Taekwondo and graduating college (and playing some rugby) that I began to compete in weightlifting. It didn't take long for me to pursue roles in weightlifting beyond just as an athlete. I have found unmatched empowerment, motivation, and enjoyment through my involvement in weightlifting.
Pursuing fitness and athletic goals is fun, especially with a wonderful community. I love to help others reach their goals in a positive light, wherever they may be, however difficult they may be.
