December Charity Recap: #givewarmth Campaign Gave Help To Locals In Need

In the month of December, CrossFit Aevitas chose the Capitaly City Rescue Mission as our charity to support. Through our #givewarmth campaign, we were able to raise funds, collect winter garments, and even volunteer some time to help the community! As always, we are astonished by the support our humble community is able to drum up for a worthy cause! Here’s a recap of the impact YOU made in just one month’s time:

Donation Box for Winter Items

Through the month, we were able to collect 90+ winter items (jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, and boots!) that will go directly to the Rescue Mission, and then directly into the hands and onto the backs of people in need – at no cost to those people whatsoever! Thank you to everyone who brought in new and lightly used items, they will definitely be appreciated!

Check-in Campaign

Through the #givewarmth check-in campaign, we were able to raise enough funds to purchase 10 more winter items to donate to the Rescue Mission! That brings our donation total up to over 100! Keep those check-in posts coming each month, they DO result in something (other than annoying your friends)!

In-Person Volunteering

Finally, we’d like to give a huge shout-out to the few Aevitans who got together on a Saturday (with very short notice) to help the Rescue Mission in their efforts to decorate community spaces for the holidays. Together we were able to put up and decorate a beautiful tree, and we made a few new friends too! Thanks again for your support!

Thank you ALL for your continued support and for helping to make our community a little stronger every day! Stay tuned for details on January’s #Refuel campaign to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York!
