Not only is 2021 off and running but so is our brand new programming cycle! We’re excited to be rolling with a refreshed and revamped Programming Cycle strategy this year, and we hope you’re already seeing the benefits in your fitness!
What Makes This Cycle Unique?
We mentioned that this programming cycle is “refreshed and revamped”. How, you ask? This cycle is unique for a few reasons:
- The inputs came directly from you in the form of our member programming survey sent out late last year.
- We had a FULL WEEK of testing to kick everything off!
- The ENTIRE coaching team is collectively creating the components of the program that will help us achieve better results in the retest.
Our hope is that these changes will help you stay tuned in more closely with the programming (since it’s based on YOUR feedback and goals!) Combined with and actual test-in and test-out component, you’ll be able to see the progress you’re capable of making when you show up and put in the work!
We are also very pumped that our coaching team is coming together to collaborate on this like never before! If you didn’t know this already, the Aevitas Coaching Team is truly top-notch, and cares so deeply about your progress as athletes and humans. Becoming more collaborative with the programming is just the latest testament to an awesome team of leaders!
Why care so much about the Test Week? The idea behind the test week was to queue up all of the things we thought you might want to frame some goals around. Use the movements we completed in the test week to create some short-term goals that you can really see happening this training cycle.
The Goal Boards set up at each location are for just that – to write your goals down and hold yourself (and your WOD Buddies) accountable! Do you have to stick with the movements of this Programming Cycle? No! You can put down anything you wish to work towards within the gym. Should you put at least one goal down that pertains to this particular cycle? We sure hope you’re excited to see progress in at least one of the components we’re working on – so YES!
We’ll be retesting in early March before the CrossFit Open begins.
