It’s time once again to show your Aevitas Spirit as we celebrate Spirit Week this February!
This year, we have chosen to use the week of fun to raise money and awareness for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Keep reading to learn more about how to get involved and have a blast doing so this February!
Spirit Week Fundamentals
During Spirit Week (Feb 17-22), your daily challenge is to show your spirit by “dressing up” for the workout according to a set theme (see daily themes below). Then submit your entry by completing the following:
Take a picture of yourself (and your friends) dressed up at the gym!
Post the picture on your preferred social media platform
Tag the gym and add the hashtags #beatbreastcancer and #aevitasspiritweek to your post
We will keep track of everyone who participates. For each participant, Aevitas will donate $1 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!
Spirit Week Schedule:
MONDAY, February 17th – President’s Day – Wear your favorite patriotic attire! Red, white, and blue; stars and stripes – the more ‘Murica, the better!
TUESDAY, February 18th – Crazy Sock Day – we know many of you out there have some ridiculous socks – sport them for the workout! (hint, hint: the socks may prove useful for rope climbing…)
WEDNESDAY, February 19th – Way Back Wednesday – pick your favorite decade. Dress accordingly. Side ponies, bright colors, and sweat bands highly encouraged
THURSDAY, February 20th – Twinsies Day – Grab your favorite WOD buddy and get matchy-matchy!
FRIDAY, February 21st – Wear Pink Day – baby, fuchsia, hot – you choose your most flattering hue, and wear it with abandon!
SATURDAY, February 22nd – Aevitas Spirit Day – Wear your most beloved gym apparel – from AEV or CRL – and show your pride in this awesome community!
Other Ways To Get Involved:
If you don’t want to dress up but would still like to contribute, you’re welcome to donate to the cause on your own, and we’ll add it to the donation pool!
To donate, either give cash to one of the coaches or donate through your member account by completing the form below by Saturday, February 22nd
We have used this particular charity in the past. Why? A few of the reasons we think it’s a worthy place for our donations are below:
Their mission is “to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research”
BCRF is the highest-rated breast cancer charity in the U.S., with 88% of funds raised going directly towards their programs and services
BCRF is top-rated for Transparency, with an “A+” grading from CharityWatch group
